I have been dying to do a winter ONEderland theme for quite some time now. I had SO much fun building this set and capturing Miss E in all her cake smashing glory! We had two setups, they both came together so perfectly for this theme. They had lots of snow and winter details, with all the girly touches to match!
I was so head over heels in love with this precious outfit and tutu that mom brought! She sent me the pictures while I was in the planning stages of the session, which is always SO helpful when it comes to designing the setups. I loved the lace of the top and the frill of the tutu. I mean just look at that tutu! It went perfectly with the grey backdrop as well as the pink.
She had us all hysterically laughing with the way she was pushing and lifting up all the props! Kids at this age, all do something different and fun during these sessions. It’s SO fun to see their little personalities and what they do.
Emerie was a very dainty and clean cake smasher, but don’t let that fool you…she loved every second! Although truth be told, she was having more more fun with the snow balls!
Sometimes… sessions or the details don’t always go according to plan, which is okay! Life and kids are crazy, chaotic and at times messy (pun intended)! At times, kids miss naps, don’t want to cooperate, wardrobe malfunctions and the list could go on. In this instance…it was a bakery mishap! Mom thought she was picking up a giant cupcake but instead, was given a regular sized one. So we used both, because why not?! They had a beautiful cake that was intended for her party, so we had all hands on deck to keep that one in tact. We then, had fun with the cupcake! The snowflake cake topper was the perfect touch to tie it all together!
Newborn sessions are my jam. Six month sessions are exciting to see how much can change in only half a year. One year sessions are such a joy! I absolutely love getting to see these little personalities blossom! Truth be told, some kids go crazy and love the cake, and others not so much. Either way, it’s THEIR personality.
